Amazon’s AI Cloud Unit Surpasses $15 Billion in Annual Revenue
Amazon’s CEO, Andy Jassy, announced that the company’s cloud unit with AI capabilities has surpassed $15 billion in annual revenue in the first quarter of 2026.
The numbers are ‘increasing rapidly,’ Jassy said in a letter to shareholders, adding that the company’s overall cloud business will grow even faster without the capacity constraints the tech sector is currently facing.
Jassy also stated that the revenue generated by Amazon’s chip division, which produces the Graviton and Trainium processors, now exceeds $20 billion, doubling the $10 billion figure the company had reported earlier this year.
‘There’s so much demand for our chips that it’s very possible that, in the future, we’ll sell large quantities of them to third parties,’ Jassy added.
